What is E-Payment?
E-Payment is an online billing solution offering subscribed merchants' customers the facility of extending their payment options to online payment.

How does E-Payment work?
As a merchant you inform MaltaPay of the amount you wish to collect and to which merchant account payment are effected to.
As a customer you simply select the merchant you would like to pay, fill in the form and choose pay.

Is it easy to pay my bills using E-Payment?
Using e-payment to pay your bills is as easy as 1,2,3. All you need to do is choose the merchant and fill out the form on screen and click on PAY NOW..

What do I need to use E-Payment?
You will need the bill/invoice issued by the merchant and needless to say, enough funds in the card you wish to use
otherwise the transaction will not be authorised. to see the accepted Payment Methods.

You can pay bills/invoices issued by the merchants listed at http://www.maltapay.com/epay/start.asp

How do I pay?
After choosing the merchant and filling out any details requested by the merchant, you are asked to select your credit card type and to key in your card number. On pressing the PAY NOW button the payment is sent for authorisation and if the transaction authorised is the amount entered will be paid into the merchant’s account. Both you and the merchant will be notified via e-mail if payment is successful.
In case of any disputes kindly contact the relevant merchant, whose details are provided in the confirmation e-mail.

Is there a maximum amount of money I can pay?
The maximum amount that can be paid is determined by the card type you use for the payment. Kindly contact your issuing bank for more details on the maximum payment amount per day.

Can I cancel a payment made using E-Payment?
MaltaPay.com is the service provider for the merchant providing you with the goods or services you are paying for. To cancel payments please contact the merchants to whom you effected you payment.

How do I know E-Payment is secure?
Look down in the lower right hand portion of your screen for a yellow lock, this guarantees that MaltaPay.com is using 128bit encryption, which is very secure.

When do I get confirmation that my bill has been paid?
Maltapay.com is only responsible for effecting payment and providing the payment channels to the merchants. You will receive an e-mail on the e-mail account you specified on the payment page with the details of the transaction immediately after the payment is effected. Processing time after payment is effected is entirely dependent on the merchant.

Is any of my personal information stored at MaltaPay?
Customer data is stored at MaltaPay for transaction retrieval, auditing and historical purposes. We recognise our responsibility to keep confidential at all times any information about you which we acquire in connection during a payment transaction, whether directly from yourself or through the supplier or charitable organisation.

I lost my confirmation receipt what can I do?
If you are a registered user, you can log into your Maltapay account and view a history of all transactions processed through Maltapay. [coming soon]

Entered the wrong email address what can I do?
Contact the merchant to whom you affected payment and check if your payment was received.

After I click the ‘Pay Now’ link the Processing Payment image is shown but I am returned to the payment page with the message 'Try Again' or 'Not-Authorised'.
In both cases you can retry to process the transaction. If you get the message again, kindly contact your issuing bank.

I made a payment to a company and the payment is not listed on my monthly statement?
There a number of reasons why this can happen. We recommend that you first contact the merchant that supplies you with the service or product ordered.

How do I get my customers to pay their invoices using E-Payment?
There are a number of strategies you can adopt, such as the printing of your e-payment details on your invoices or giving discounts to your customers who pay on-line. For more details on how to get more customers to use E-Payment kindly contact our sales team who will be of assistance.

What is the difference between a personalised and a non-personalised solution?
A non-personalised solution is a solution that does not require and modifications to the service from neither your side nor from MaltaPay.com. This solution can be compared to an off the shelf solution for your business.
A personalised solution delivers to your business a solution that is tailor made or adapted to suit your business practices including colour schemes, logo placement, and certain data capture fields.

How do I know my customers have made an on-line payment?
You are immediately notified of any sucessful payments via e-mail. You can also login to the Maltapay.com control panel and view the service payment reports. to access the control panel.

How do I view the batch for my merchant account number?
To view your batch you will need to login to the MaltaPay control panel and view the service payment report which lists the batch number to which a payment was affected to.

Can I refund a customer's payment?
Customers can be refunded through the service's payment report interface.

How do I view or change my service set-up details?
Simply login to the Maltapay control panel and select the service you wish to edit.

I forgot my login details, what do I do?
Users having problems with their login can choose the ‘forgot your password option’ in the login screen. Follow the instructions provided and you will receive your login details via e-mail. In case where you are not able to log in even after resetting your login details please contact MaltaPay customer support via e-mail on
