Paying a company using the Maltapay electronic payment service is quick and easy. E-Payment through Maltapay involves a simple process that takes you a few minutes.

Maltapay is designed to provide a user friendly approach to internet based payment systems. It provides a very cost effective service to those firms that subscribe to the service. Once, a firm in included in the Maltapay system, all the user has to do to effect a payment is very simple. First select the name of the company you would like to pay from amongst the Maltapay subscribers, key in the invoice reference of the invoice you would like to pay, and when prompted key in your credit/debit card details.

There are three steps to go through to complete an e-payment on Maltapay. Each step in the e-payment process is marked by a step number and a name of the current step. When the payment transaction is completed, this is followed by a Confirmation page showing you the details of the payment effected through Maltapay.

On the left side of the e-payment page is a list of all the steps along with a coloured circle. A red circle indicates an uncompleted step; a green circle indicates the current step; and a grey circle indicates a completed step.

In this first step of the E-payment process on Maltapay, you are asked to choose the company to whom you would like to affect payment.

The Maltapay E-Payment service lists all the companies you are able to pay through the Maltapay website. We periodically add new companies to our listing so check back monthly to identify new subscribers that can be paid on-line through Maltapay.

For easy reference, the companies are listed in alphabetical order. Click on the name of the company you would like to pay to proceed to the next step. For example, click on S.E. Link Ltd. to pay an invoice sent to you by S.E. Link Ltd.

In this second step you are asked to enter the details about the invoice you would like to pay.

Each company may request different details from you however the following rules always apply:

• A required field is marked with a red star * and has to be filled in before you can proceed to the next step.
• If a required field is missed a note will appear at the top of the page in red indicating which field was missed.

The Invoice Number and Email Address fields are always present for each merchant. This allows the merchant to allocate the payment that you are effecting to the relevant invoice, whilst the e-mail address is necessary for the despatch of the confirmation note and can be used to contact you in case of any query.

You can click on the ‘Back’ link to return to Step 1 Choose a company or you can proceed to Step 3 by clicking on the ‘Proceed to Payment’ link.

In this final step in effecting a payment through Maltapay you are asked to choose the method of payment and to enter the relevant credit/debit card details. You can pay the relevant invoice through Maltapay using your Credit or Debit card or through one of the alternative payment methods supported by Maltapay. These are listed in the following section for your reference.

The following four fields have to be correctly filled so complete payment of your invoice:

• Card number
• Card holder name
• Expiry date
• Amount to pay

Once the correct details are entered, you can click the ‘Pay Now’ link to complete your e-payment. Please click the link once and your payment will be processed in a few seconds. Alternatively, you may click on the ‘Back’ link to return to Step 2 – Enter your details.

Please note that once e-payment has been completed through Maltapay, the company is immediately notified of your payment, however Maltapay cannot guarantee immediate settlement of your bill. Please direct any payment inquiries to the company that you have effected the payment to. As the service intermediary, for reasons of confidentiality, we are not able to discuss client transactions.

Once the payment is effected through Maltapay, you are presented with a screen confirming the payment of your invoice and the details you entered throughout the process. A confirmation email containing the same information is also emailed to the email address you entered in Step 2 Enter your details.

We recommend that you print the confirmation page for future reference. A ‘Print’ link is provided at the top of the confirmation summary.

You are able to pay your bills using one of the following payment methods:

• American Express (not supported by all companies)

• BOV Flypass Business card

• APS Premiere
